I've soon watched through it twice, in about two months, and I absolutely love it. I was a bit hesitant at first, because I don't watch cartoons and I loathe Nickelodeon, Cartoon Network and those types of channels with a passion, but I do not regret watching it at all. Seriously, so much better than I thought cartoons could be. The plot is excellent, it's absolutely gorgeous, and it has fabulous characters.

Toph is probably one of my favorite characters ever, but I have a huge thing for girls kicking ass, so that's no surprise. I think Sokka is the everyday guy done good, bringing comic relief and being brave enough to fight without bending, without having some of the annoying issues other characters like that have (not so say he doesn't have flaws, but not those kind). Zuko's character arc is amazing, far better than something you'd see on a cartoon, and I love Mai too (and ship Mai/Zuko kind of a lot). Good characters is the most important thing when it comes to TV for me, and this show brings it. Plus, magic Kung Fu.

Downton Abbey
The last episode ran yesterday in Sweden, and no, that was not such an uplifting one. I screamed at the TV quite a few times, and there might have been some tears here and there, but the characters kept screwing everything up, and now there's war coming. I didn't expect to love this show as much as I do, since it's a period drama, and I'm not usually into those, but yes, this one is good. There's so many good characters (again, most important thing for me) and the story lines manages to grip me, even when they're being mundane, if you compare it to the world-ending there is in Sci-Fi.

While this show is good, I can only watch one or two episodes a day before I get burnt out, because it can be so depressing sometimes. Every characters seems to destroy everything around the middle of their episode, and while they usually manages to build something good up towards the end, it still gets me down. Also, I can't relate to the characters. I've never been a party person at all, and their world is so far from mine. However, it is fascinating, and when it gets uplifting it really has an effect.

So far I've seen Gen 1 and Gen 3, and I like them pretty equally, I think. I do believe gen 1 is better, and I'd probably like it more if I watched it again, since I'm a lot more used to the tone now, but IDK. What I love about gen 1 is that all characters have some aspect that I like, that I find interesting, so I'm not bored when their episode comes. In gen 3, that's pretty much the same, except I hate Matty. I don't know why, I just want him to get out every time he comes on. The love triangles have been a bit all over the place, and while I loved Grace/Rich in the beginning they're just a bit boring now? I do have hopes for them becoming more interesting again in series 6, and I hope they're done with at least some of the triangles. I am excited about Franky/Mini, I don't know if I want them to be together, or if I want Mini to be with someone else, but I love the currently one-sided crush.

I have seen half of gen 2 as well, and while I don't think it's as good as the others, I don't think it's as bad as people say either. But maybe all the bad comes in S4? The big problem for me is that I don't care about half the characters. All the drama around Effy and the guys doesn't interest me at all right now, I'm afraid. I completely love both Emily and Naomi as characters, and I most certainly ship them together, and their arc, along with Katie's, who I also find interesting even though I don't particularly like her, and that's enough to keep my interest in the generation.
